Orthopedics & Orthopedic Surgery
Area of Focus: Hip, Knee & Lower Extremity and Resident Information
Drs. Brown, Connor, D'Alessandro, and Fleischli present detailed, clinically relevant, knee anatomy. Anatomic dissection is carried out independently for medial, lateral, posterior, and intra-articular anatomy. Dissection proceeds from superficial to deep, demonstrating described layers of knee anatomy. Care is taken throughout the video to relate both structure and how that structure relates to function as well as clinically useful information. The goal of the video is to improve patient care and surgical outcomes by giving therapists, trainers, residents, and orthopaedic surgeons a tool that can enhance their general understanding of the knee, its intricate structure, and its complicated function.
