Anatomy
A complete 3D reconstruction of the human knee based on Magnetic Resonance Imaging data. Peel away 18 layers from skin to bone and label every visible feature. View the knee frm a variety Of Positions, with or without the patella. Every anatomical feature has accompanying text. Sections on bio-mechanics, surgical procedures, radiographs, arthrography, and clinical slides and videos. There are also hundreds of "hot-links" within the text to a remarkable range of clinical material: pathology slides, videos of arthroscopy and procedures, 3D computer graphic models of surgical instruments, along with 3D animations ides, videos showing typical implant Procedures.
All images can be copied - license-free - into Your own presentation programs. The 3D model is based on very high resolution Magnetir Resonance Images and a full set of knee MRI data is also bundled on the disc. Each MRI slice islabeled with every visible features.
A range of surgical Procedures are "plored, includin : ACL & PCL Ligament Reconstruction; Congenital Discoid Lateral Meniscus in Children; Congenital Dislogcation of the K ee Joint; Osgood-Schiatter's Disease; Patella - Major Pathologies & Traurna, Sinding-Larsen-Johannson Disease.
The CD-ROM also features a bio-mechanical model of the knee in 3D, based on MPJ data of a cadaveric knee at different stages of flexion and tension. View the cruciate ligarnents as they move during flexion/extension, see articulation of the patella, and reveal the joint flexing to 90 degrees - all displayed in 3D.
