Nursing
The Calgary Family Assessment Model (CFAM) is a comprehensive three-pronged structural, develop-mental and functional family assessment framework. Reading about and seeing an assessment model in clinical practice are two different experiences.
CFAM has been widely adopted in nursing schools, colleges, universities and hospitals in North America, Australia, Finland, Great Britain, Japan, Sweden, Korea, Taiwan, and Brazil. This tape enables nurses to see Wright and Leahey illustrate in clinical vignettes the CFAM that they developed. Nurses will see in action:
- Highlights of the structural, developmental and functional categories of the Calgary Family Assessment Model in clinical interviews
- Examples of specific questions the nurse can ask the family
- How to talk about the genogram and ecomap with Families
- How to construct circular pattern diagrams in a clinical setting
