This application, developed with Lexi-Comp's internal drug interaction content, will allow you to review a comprehensive list of interactions associated with any individual agent, or analyze a patient-specific drug profile for potential interactions. Analyzing a profile is as easy as Select, Analyze, and Review.

• SELECT - A patient-specific drug profile may be entered into Lexi-InteractTM by either generic or brand names. The rapid find function permits efficient selection of drugs. The Current Selections screen will provide a review of selected medications. Profile changes are a snap. Once the list is complete, the analysis is just a "tap" away.
• ANALYZE - The Analysis Results screen provides a summary of drug interactions identified from the selected profile. Each drug in the profile is followed by a list of the drugs with which it may interact, along with a risk rating to help you quickly grasp the nature of the action that may need to be taken. The risk rating of drug interactions uses an A, B, C, D, X scale, with each letter representing an increased urgency in responding to the identified interaction.

  You will be able to select the least significant level desired for display when performing an analysis. The details of any identified interaction can be displayed by simply tapping the interacting drug.

• REVIEW - Each of the more than 850 Lexi-InteractTM monographs provides a summary statement on the interaction, a scientific and clinically relevant review of applicable literature (including full literature citations), and a list of strategies for preventing and/or managing the interaction. The potential for pharmacologically similar drugs to be involved in the same interaction is discussed. (See the field information for full descriptions of fields) A "jump" list permits quick movement between monograph sections.

A single copy of a Lexi-Comp PDA product gives you license to use that copy on one device only. Multiple devices require multiple licenses.
