Course Objectives
Dr. Eklund utilizes a combination of animation, graphs,
mammographic images, video clips, text and audio information
to simplify the art of mammographic positioning.
Upon completion of this program, the participant should be
able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of factors affecting maximum tissue inclusion
on Mammographic images
- Ability to recognize deficiencies in mammographic
positioning techniques
- Ability to prescribe the appropriate corrective measures
to improve mammographic positioning
- Knowledge of the types and positions for placement of
breast augmentation implants
- Knowledge of the techniques for safe and optimal imaging
of the augmented breast
- Knowledge of the radiographic and sonographic features
of complications affecting the augmentation implant
- Ability to recognize and correct deficiencies in imaging
the augmented breast
The Medical College of Wisconsin designates this continuing
medical education activity for 5 credit hours in Category 1
of the Physicians Recognition Award of the American Medical
Association.
