Course Objectives
Breast imaging is the most frequent focus of legal action
against radiologists. Everyone who does mammography should
own this important interactive CD ROM. Contents include:
legal definitions, individual cases, sample forms, and
important strategies for safeguarding yourself and your
practice. The case studies encompass record keeping, films,
patient communications, patient follow-up and applications of
the law.

This program is designed to:
- Help the radiologist avoid a majority of pitfalls that
end up in the court room
- Help the radiologist develop loss prevention and
risk-management strategies
- Look at what the laws say and what the courts have said
- Survey some of the reasons why radiologists practicing
in the field of breast imaging may be sued
- Understand the relationship between medicine and the law
in a very practical manner
The Medical College of Wisconsin designates this continuing
medical emliation activity for 4 credit hours in Category 1
of the Physicians Recognition Award of the American Medical
Association.
