The Cardionics Telecoder, catalog # 718-7300, is designed to be used with the Cardionics SimulScope or Ausculette II stethoscope systems. It is intended to interface analog sound and ECG signals from one of the above systems to a codec, terminal adapter or other devices which communicates data over a high-speed telephone network, such as, T1, ISDN or DSL. The Telecoder can either send or receive serial data from these devices via a RS232 or RS449 port. In the send mode, it digitizes the analog signals and converts them to serial data. In the receive mode, it converts the serial data to analog signals. The telecoder can also be used over POTS lines or with IP.
