Rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of the most frequent forms of knee trauma. The traditional surgical treatment for ACL rupture is single-bundle reconstruction. However, during the past few years, there has been a shift in interest towards double-bundle reconstruction to closely restore the native ACL anatomy. This video demonstrates double-bundle ACL reconstruction and includes a discussion of anatomy, biomechanics, and kinematics.
